Setting Up a Deep Drawing Hydraulic Press
The setup of a deep drawing hydraulic press involves several important steps, and the following is a detailed description:
1. Preparation before installation and commissioning
Site preparation
Deep drawing hydraulic presses are usually heavy and need to be installed on a solid, flat ground. Make sure that the ground bearing capacity of the installation site can meet the weight requirements of the hydraulic press to avoid tilting or damage to the equipment due to ground subsidence and other problems during work.
Setting Up a Deep Drawing Hydraulic Press
At the same time, there should be enough space around the site to facilitate operators to operate, maintain, and transport raw materials and finished products. Generally speaking, at least 1-2 meters of space should be left around the hydraulic press.
Equipment inspection
Before installation, a comprehensive inspection of the deep drawing hydraulic press is required. Check whether the appearance of the hydraulic press has any bumps or damage, especially key components such as the fuselage frame and hydraulic cylinder.
Check whether the bolts of each connection are tightened and whether there are signs of leakage in the hydraulic system pipeline. At the same time, check whether the model and specifications of the equipment are consistent with the order, and check whether the tools and accessories that come with it are complete.
2. Hydraulic system setup
Hydraulic oil filling
Select the appropriate hydraulic oil according to the instruction manual of the hydraulic press. Generally, the hydraulic oil commonly used in deep drawing hydraulic presses is anti-wear hydraulic oil, such as HM46 or HM68. Before filling the hydraulic oil, clean the inside of the oil tank to ensure that there are no impurities, iron filings and other foreign objects in the oil tank. Slowly inject the hydraulic oil into the oil tank through the special filling port. Note that the oil level cannot exceed the maximum level mark of the oil tank. At the same time, avoid the oil level being too low. Generally, the oil level should be kept around the middle position of the level gauge.
Pressure adjustment
The pressure of the deep drawing hydraulic press needs to be adjusted according to the specific drawing process requirements. First, find the pressure regulating valve in the hydraulic system, which is usually a knob or screw with a dial.
By adjusting the pressure regulating valve, the required working pressure is set in combination with the reading of the pressure gauge. For example, if deep drawing of thinner materials is performed, the pressure may be set between 10-20MPa; for drawing of thicker materials, the pressure may need to reach about 30-50MPa. When adjusting the pressure, gradually increase the pressure and closely observe the operation of the equipment to prevent damage to the equipment and mold due to excessive pressure.
Flow control
The flow control of hydraulic oil has an important influence on the speed and accuracy of the deep drawing process. In the hydraulic system, the flow rate of hydraulic oil entering the hydraulic cylinder is controlled by the flow control valve.
According to the speed requirements of the drawing process, adjust the flow control valve. If fast mold closing or return action is required, the flow rate can be appropriately increased; in the drawing process, in order to ensure the quality of drawing, the flow rate may need to be reduced to make the drawing action smoother. Generally speaking, the flow rate adjustment range is between a few liters/minute and tens of liters/minute, which depends on the model and process requirements of the hydraulic press.
3. Mold installation and debugging
Mold installation
First, make sure that the size and specifications of the mold match the deep drawing hydraulic press. Clean the installation surface of the mold and the work surface of the hydraulic press to remove impurities such as oil and rust.
Place the mold on the workbench of the hydraulic press and fix it by means of dowel pins or bolts. For large molds, auxiliary equipment such as cranes may be required for installation. During the installation process, pay attention to the direction and position of the mold to ensure that it is consistent with the working stroke and stretching direction of the hydraulic press.
Mold debugging
After the mold is installed, it needs to be debugged. First, carry out no-load debugging, that is, do not place the workpiece, start the hydraulic press, let the mold perform actions such as mold closing and mold opening, check whether the mold movement is smooth, and whether there is interference between the components. Then carry out mold trial, place a small amount of raw materials in the mold, perform shallow stretching or simple forming operations, observe the quality of the workpiece after stretching, and check whether there are defects such as cracking and wrinkling. According to the mold trial situation, adjust the mold gap, stretching speed and other parameters until a satisfactory stretching effect is obtained.
4. Electrical system setting
Wiring check
Carefully check the electrical system wiring of the deep drawing hydraulic press. Make sure that all wires are firmly connected and there is no looseness or damage. According to the electrical schematic diagram, check whether the wiring of each electrical component (such as motor, relay, sensor, etc.) is correct.
Check whether the grounding is good. The grounding resistance should meet the safety standards. Generally, the grounding resistance is required to be no more than 4Ω to ensure the electrical safety of the equipment during operation.
Parameter setting Set the parameters of the electrical control system according to the requirements of the deep drawing process. For example, set the working cycle time, pressure holding time, return speed and other parameters. These parameters can be set through the operation panel on the electrical control cabinet. The operation panel usually has a digital display and buttons to facilitate the operator to input and adjust parameters.
At the same time, it is necessary to set safety protection parameters, such as the sensitivity of the light curtain protection and the function of the emergency stop button, to ensure the personal safety of the operator. 5. Safety settings
Installation of protective devices
Install a guardrail. The height of the guardrail is generally not less than 1.2 meters to separate the working area of the hydraulic press from the operator's activity area to prevent the operator from accidentally contacting the moving parts during the operation of the equipment.
Install a light curtain protection device. The light curtain is usually installed on the operating side of the mold. When the operator's hand or body blocks the light curtain, the hydraulic press can stop running immediately, effectively avoiding accidents such as pinching.
Formulate safe operating procedures
Formulate detailed safe operating procedures, including equipment start-up, stop, operation sequence, emergency handling, etc. Conduct safety training for operators to ensure that they are familiar with safe operating procedures, can use protective devices correctly, and understand emergency response measures, such as how to quickly press the emergency stop button when the equipment fails or danger occurs.
